“WHPLs” are letters addressed to staff employees of the Labor Standards division of the Alaska Department of Labor. Sometimes they address housekeeping matters, but they often interpret the Wage and Hour Act, as well as Chapter 5 of Title 23. The Department hasn’t posted the text of the letters on-line, but here is an index to the current WHPLs.
