Recent Arbitration Awards in Alaska

The current volume of the BNA publication Labor Arbitration has published four awards in Alaska arbitration matters, three of them by Robert Landau.  They are:

 Anch. Mun. Light & Power & IBEW Local 1547 (04/16/07), 123 LA 1134 (Landau, R., Arb.): Holding: Employer did not violate CBA re shift change.  Also: Discussion of elements of past practice.  E’r: Jean Sagan; Union: Jake Metcalfe.

FAA & Nat’l Ass’n of Air Traffic Spec. (02/08/07), 123 LA 681 (Landau, R., Arb.): Holding: Employer did not violate CBA re temporary duty assignment. E’r: Jim Kammermeyer; Union: Paul Klaben.

Dep’t of Air Force & AFGE Local 1836 (12/15/06), 123 LA 466 (Landau, R., Arb.): Holding: Employer breached CBA re BX privileges.  Also: Discussion of past practices and union waiver of bargaining rights.    E’r: Phillip Tidmore, Capt. Airon Mothershed; Union: Steven Clapp.

State of Alaska & ASEA Local 52 (08/15/06), 123 LA 54 (Downing, Mark, Arb.): Holding: Employer did not breach CBA re subcontracting of procurement work.  E’r: Kent Durand; Union: Kimberly Metcalfe.
