Quick Senate Action on Ledbetter Reversal Bill, S. 1843, Expected Soon

With a bipartisan group of more than 40 co-sponsors and support growing around the country, the National Employment Lawyers Association, a national bar association for attorneys representing employees, is hoping that the Senate will take up the Fair Pay Restoration Act, S. 1843, this month - possibly as early as next week. The Fair Pay Restoration Act would legislatively overturn last year’s Supreme Court ruling in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and reinstate the paycheck accrual rule that has been the law in wage discrimination cases for decades.
