Alaska DOL Amends Policy Letters

The Alaska Labor Department on August 5th issued amended Wage and Hour Policy Letters concerning staff journals (diaries for assistance in later testimony), anonymous complaints, and “opinion shopping” among regional offices.

DAlaska: Settlement in Wade v. Ilisagvik

The ex-employee plaintiff in this Section 1983/Whistleblower/FMLA case has accepted Ilisagvik College’s Offer of Judgment, resulting in $9,687.56 in damages, costs to be taxed, and $100,000.00 in attorney fees. 
The Rule 68 acceptance came only days after U. S. District Judge Burgess denied plaintiff’s motion for reconsideration of his March 28, 2008, Order, discussed earlier on AEL
