Alaska Occupational Licensing: Real Estate Broker

The Alaska Real Estate Commission has suspended a Fairbanks real estate broker for 60 days, fined him $9,500, required 30 hours of education (beyond normal continuing ed requirements), and placed him on probation for one year following suspension.  These remedies (which exceeded those recommended by ALJ Christopher Kennedy) arose from violations of rules, including an “improper arrangement” of brokerage personnel, failure to disclose dual agency, and failure to supervise staff.
