9th Cir: Affirms Beistline on Polar Bear Regs
A 9th Circuit panel has, this morning, affirmed District Judge Ralph Beistline’s validation of U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act that permitted a five-year period for non-lethal “takes” of polar bears and Pacific walrus in support of oil and gas activities around the Beaufort Sea.
