DAlaska: Court-Awarded Fees in Employment Case
An employer who prevailed on a motion to compel moved for Rule 37 attorney fees. U. S. District Judge Timothy Burgess has now awarded $6,000 to the employer, using hourly rates of $265 and $225 for two Anchorage management-side counsel from Davis Wright Tremaine (respectively, Ted Wellman, 1991 graduate and admittee, and Scott Wellman, 2006 graduate and admittee). Burgess noted that counsel had requested discounted rates.
