AkBA Employment Law Section: Preemption of State Claims Filed by Federal Employee

At tomorrow’s meeting of the Employment Law Section of the Alaska Bar Association, Susan Lindquist from the U S Attorney’s office in Anchorage will discuss U S District Judge John Sedwick’s May 28, 2009, Order in Lewis v. Donley, 2009 WL 1492139, in which dismissed various state law claims under the preemption doctrine.

Lindquist represented the federal agency. Nicholas Kittleson, also from Anchorage, represented the plaintiff-employee.
