DAlaska: Wage & Hour Claims by Dancers

Several dancers have sued Crazy Horse and Fantasies for unpaid overtime compensation, involuntary deductions resulting in denial of minimum wage, impermissible tip pool, and non-receipt of final paychecks.  They sued under both the FLSA and AWHA, and seek class certification of both the FLSA (as a collective action) and state (under ARCP Rule 23) claims.

DAlaska: Limitations Period for Privacy Act Claim; Sovereign Immunity from HIPAA Claims

The plaintiff in Felthauser v. United States claims that the VA took four years to respond to his request for copies of his medical records, and then sent the records to somebody else.  When he sued for violations of the Privacy Act and HIPAA, the VA moved to dismiss.
